Mini Medics


The Mini Medics course is a very basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies.THE COURSE WILL SHOW COMPLETE RESPECT FOR THE CHILD’S ABILITY, MAKE IT EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL, AND INSTIL THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS POORLY OR INJURED.


Mini Medics is perfect for schools and after school clubs, but can also be held within the local community over the weekends or during the school holidays. Providing the venue is suitable, sufficient and safe, the courses can be held anywhere, anytime of the year.


The Mini Medics courses are non-regulated and there is no formal registration process for you to get started. You can replenish your student resources as and when they are required.


Assessment


This is a non-regulated course and attendance is all that is required. Optional test/quizzes are available in the form of a worksheet which are included in each student pack.

    • Recovery position
    • Choking
    • Resuscitation (CPR)
    • DR ABC
    • Wounds and bleeding
    • Asthma
    • Shock
    • Safety
    • Communication and contacting the emergency services


Certification



A certificate of attendance is included in the back of each Mini Medics book as a ‘cut-out’ for the child. This same certificate can also be found on the Mini Medics Trainer USB as an editable PDF.
